This Privacy Policy explains how Rochelle Dunbar, trading as CurriculaAI ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects your information when you use CurriculaAI (the "Service").
Account information: name, email address, and password (stored securely, not in plain text), collected when you sign up.
Content you provide: course topics, target audience descriptions, uploaded reference standards, uploaded format templates, and persona details you create.
Content generated for you: the curricula, assignments, and lesson plans the Service creates on your behalf, which we store so you can access, edit, and manage them.
Payment information: if you subscribe to Pro, our payment processor, Paddle, collects and processes your payment details directly. We do not store your full card number.

We use your information to:
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
To operate CurriculaAI, we share data with the following service providers, each acting on our behalf:
We do not share your data with any other third party except as required by law, or with your explicit consent.
We retain your account and content data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data and generated content immediately, except where retention is required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes (e.g. transaction records).
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
To exercise these rights, contact us at curriculaai.support@gmail.com.
You have the rights described above, plus the right to data portability and the right to object to or restrict certain processing. Our lawful basis for processing your data is (a) performance of a contract, to provide the Service you've signed up for, and (b) our legitimate interest in operating and improving the Service. Where your data is transferred outside the EEA/UK (e.g. to our US-based service providers listed in Section 4), we rely on those providers' own data protection safeguards and standard contractual mechanisms. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of it, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — we do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
We use industry-standard measures (including encrypted storage and secure authentication via Supabase) to protect your data, but no system is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential.
Our service providers (Anthropic, Supabase, Paddle, Railway) may process and store data outside of Jamaica, including in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer as necessary to provide the Service.
CurriculaAI is intended for use by adult educators, not by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If a teacher uploads materials that reference students, that data is provided at the teacher's own discretion and responsibility, and should not include personally identifiable student information beyond what is necessary for the teacher's own lesson/assignment planning.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify active users of material changes.
